Learning Intention of the Week – Good Luck Knot
In celebration of Lunar New Year, students explored the tradition of creating good luck knots, learning about their cultural meaning as symbols of prosperity and good fortune. Throughout the process, students carefully followed detailed, step-by-step instructions to tie a complex knot. This hands-on activity strengthened their fine motor skills, focus, and perseverance, while encouraging patience and attention to detail. By combining cultural learning with practical skill development, students deepened their understanding of Lunar New Year traditions while building confidence in their ability to complete challenging tasks.
